The Trane® VAL8087 is a thermostatic expansion valve for OEM HVAC replacement. It features 1/2 x 1/2 connections, R-410A refrigerant. It meters refrigerant flow into the evaporator based on superheat. Technicians install it as a direct-fit replacement to restore proper operation in Trane equipment.
