The Trane® OIL0045 is a genuine OEM compressor oil with a 300 SUS viscosity and a lubricity (anti-wear) additive, supplied in a 1 gallon container. The 300 SUS grade is the heavier viscosity Trane specifies for certain compressors, and the lubricity additive helps protect moving parts under load. Compressor oil lubricates, seals, and cools the compressor during operation. It is a genuine Trane replacement lubricant; confirm the correct oil type and viscosity for the specific compressor before use.
